Going Back

Going Back is a series of self-portrait photographs that progressively blur and generalize. They were made in the early 1990’s when I was re-experiencing and contemplating my beginnings in an incubator as a premature infant.

Originally printed as small duotone collotypes (shown here at close to their original 4"x5" size), the series was later printed as larger monochrome digital prints on arches paper.
